The Brooklyn Nets are 0-3 to start the season, but they still have some things to be happy about.
For example, Cam Thomas has done great work, especially on Sunday night.
Thomas posted 40 points, and it’s not the first time he’s done that.
According to StatMuse, three other Nets players have had double-digit 40-point games.
Those players are Vince Carter, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant.
Thomas now joins that exclusive group.

Thomas has been getting progressively better during the first three games of the season.
He started with 15 points during Brooklyn’s first game against the Charlotte Hornets, and then put up 33 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sunday night’s game was his best so far, but he could get even better.
The outlook for this team this season has never been good, but Thomas is one of the reasons why people are hopeful about them in the future.
There have been concerns and speculation about his long-term role with the team, with many people thinking he will try to cut ties and move to another franchise.
He just signed a new deal with the Nets, but a lot of people feel his loyalty isn’t strong and he could be leaving soon.
That remains to be seen, but right now Thomas is putting up strong numbers.
The Nets need a lot this year, including a dominant team leader.
Thomas could fill the role, especially if he continues to put up point totals like this.
A 40-point game and place in Nets history is noteworthy, but there are still many questions about Thomas.
