The Packers don’t have many holes as the NFL trade deadline approaches, and might have already filled its biggest on offense without even making a move.
It is entirely possible that general manager Brian Gutekunst enters the trade deadline looking to upgrade at wide receiver around quarterback Jordan Love, even after Christian Watson’s strong return from a torn ACL on Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
However, the answer to the Packers’ biggest weakness on offense might already be on the roster.
Could Tucker Kraft be the Packers’ No. 1 WR?

Following Sunday night’s breakout performance from Tucker Kraft, in which he caught two touchdowns while posing 131 Yards After The Catch, NFL Media’s Jeffri Chadhia argues that the star tight end should be considered the Packers’ No. 1 receiver.
“Kraft finished that contest with seven receptions, 143 yards, and two touchdowns,” Chadhia points out. “While proving how dangerous he can be after the catch. There’s been a lot of talk about Green Bay’s need to find a No. 1 receiver over the last couple years. Maybe it’s time to think that Kraft has taken hold of that job from the TE spot.”

While it would be a bit unconventional for Kraft to be viewed as the Packers’ No. 1 wide receiver, there is little doubt that he is already the biggest impact player on Green Bay’s offense and unquestionably Love’s favorite and most reliable target.
If Kraft continues playing at this torrid pace, there’s little reason to think he can’t have a similar impact to Travis Kelce, George Kittle, or Dallas Goedert on their respective teams, or perhaps even become an even more dominant force in the passing game this season, and beyond.
