The build-up for the Dallas Cowboys' trip to face the Denver Broncos was Javonte Williams' return to the team that moved on from him in the offseason.
And Javonte's return didn't go as planned with a 44-24 loss coming Brian Schottenheimer's team's way.
But it wasn't all bad for Williams; he had two rushing touchdowns to go with his 41 yards from his 13 carries, so there were some positives for Williams, who has been superb for the Cowboys in 2025.
And for Javonte, when speaking on the loss, he revealed one wish he had for the game.
“I feel like we could have played better overall,” Williams said. “I wish we would have won, but I mean it turned out the way it did. We just got to execute better and get ready for next week.”

Williams proving a shrewd pick up for Cowboys
Through eight games, the Cowboys' rushing attack has been one of the better units in football, and Williams has been a big reason why.
Already with eight rushing touchdowns and 633 yards, Williams has proved the doubters wrong with his good performances and powerful and brutal running style.
While it was stuffed against the Broncos, averaging just 3.2 yards per carry, mostly due to game script, Javonte has been one of the more consistent weapons for Brian Schottenheimer.
And if the Cowboys are to make a push for the playoffs, yes, it will likely fall on CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, but don't discount Williams as a crucial chess piece for one of the best offenses in football.
