The Kansas City Chiefs entered Monday Night Football as the heavy favorite to defeat the Washington Commanders. Following the Chiefs’ blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders last week, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Co. simply look unstoppable.
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce caught all three of his targets for 54 yards against the Raiders. During the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce couldn’t help but gush over the team’s performance.
“There’s some mind-blowing stats,” Kelce said. “Like, we had as many first downs (30) as they had offensive plays. It’s crazy to kind of think about what really went on this past Sunday.”
However, the 36-year-old veteran is putting up some incredible stats of his own. Kelce entered Week 8 with 31 receptions for 375 yards and two touchdowns on the season, one score away from tying his touchdown total in 2024 (3).
During the third quarter, Kelce caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Mahomes and made Chiefs history.

Kelce had his good luck charm at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night. Taylor Swift, his future bride, watched from a suite as the future Hall of Famer put up his best numbers of the season on October 27.
Thus far this season, Swift has only attended Chiefs’ home games. Swift quietly watched Kansas City’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 and looked on as the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 37-20 in Week 3.
In addition to attending the Raiders-Chiefs game last week, the 14-time Grammy winner cheered Kelce on during the Chiefs’ 30-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 6.
