All the latest injury news surrounding Arsenal and Brighton as they prepare to face off in the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal are back in action on Wednesday night when they take on Brighton at the Emirates Stadium in the Carabao Cup Round of 16. The Gunners have enjoyed a stellar few weeks, and they extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points after defeating Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Brighton fell short to Manchester United on the weekend, but have enjoyed a steady start and often prove tricky opposition even for the best in the league. Here we round up the latest injury news surrounding both clubs heading into this one.

Adam Webster - Out

Webster is out until the new year after a serious knee injury in the summer.

Solly March - Out

March is also expected back from his knee injury in t he new year.

Jack Hinshelwood - Out

Hinshelwood has an ankle injury that will keep him out until late November. He suffered the injury in September.

Joel Veltman - Doubt

Hurzeler said around a week ago: “They're training, but we still have to assess them as well, so there's still a question mark. And therefore, we have to wait, and then we can make a decision.” Veltman hasn’t played since, so he will remain a doubt.

Karou Mitoma - Doubt

Hurzeler said at the same time of Mitoma: “Mitoma still has to recover from his hit. So, we try to bring him back as quick as possible. He was close, but we have to be patient with him. Let's see how the next days are going.”

Brajan Gruda - Doubt

Gruda fell short of returning for the weekend but could be in with an outside chance of playing here.

Martin Odegaard - Out

Arteta said in his latest address on Odegaard: “There's no definite date for his return, but he's evolving well. It's very unlucky what's happening with him and his injuries this season, but I think he will be back in a few weeks. It could be [after the next Int' break], but we'll have to see how he progresses. It's too early to give an answer.”

William Saliba - Doubt

Saliba is a doubt after coming off last time out. Arteta said afterwards: “The first one was Willy who had to be taken out after the first half, Declan was struggling from the first half with a knock that he took and Riccy, let’s see how that will go.” The quick turnaround will make things difficult for all three to play here, but they will be doubts for now.

Declan Rice - Doubt

The same as above.

Riccardo Calafiori - Doubt

The same as above.

Gabriel Martinelli - Doubt

Martinelli has been dealing with a muscle issue and will be a doubt here.

Noni Madueke - Out

Arteta has said: “He's getting closer as well. He’s going to start very soon to do some running and stuff, and then again, let’s see how that reacts.” A November return is likely.

Kai Havertz - Out

Arteta has said: “It's very difficult, there's still a lot to do in his rehab. He's really pushing it. We know Kai, and that's why we love him so much, but we have to wait and see. He wants to break every timeline, I'm sure, but that's why we have to protect him and make sure that when he comes back, he comes back for the long term.”

Gabriel Jesus - Out

Jesus remains out and will likely remain out until the new year. Arteta said last week: “[The long-termers] are progressing really well. They are starting to do certain activities. They are super willing to be available as quick as possible. But at the moment, none of them are in contention in the next week or so...”
