Bournemouth led 2-0 at halftime for the second game in a row.
But, after they lost that lead away at Crystal Palace and ended up drawing 3-3, the Cherries were fully focused on making sure that did not happen again against Forest, Adams said.

They did just that, ensuring they kept the Tricky Trees at bay and sealing a 2-0 win in front of their home crowd to move to second in the Premier League.
He told the Daily Echo: “We said at halftime they're probably going to make changes just to get some fresh legs in there.
“And the changes did well that came on for them and gave them a little bit of life and we had to limit that.

“But our mentality at halftime was keep a clean sheet, keep that zero on the board, and credit to our defenders, credit to the midfielders, credit to the attackers, everyone that came in off the bench.
“We just continued to battle, whether we were in a low block, whether we had opportunities to press, we created even a couple more chances.
“But limiting teams in the Premier League is very difficult no matter who you're playing against.
“And I think Gibbs-White had one where Petro [Djordje Petrovic] makes a good save. We needed him to dig us out sometimes, but yeah, we knew we had to keep a clean sheet in this one.”
Adams said keeping clean sheets is ‘huge’ in the Premier League – and they are vital to teams looking up the table.
“Not every game is going to be a 5-0 game, a 4-0 game,” he said.

“You need to be able to keep clean sheets in this league to be successful and finish high on the table.
“And we learned really quickly. We let it slip away from us last week at Palace. We watched the video and it wasn't an easy video to watch and break down because we had the game at our fingertips and it could have been three more points.
“And we were in the same circumstance this week, up 2-0 at halftime. And we talked about it at halftime.
“We said, we're not letting this one slip.
“We know what we have to do better. So I think we were a lot more comfortable and collected in the second half and we managed the game in the right way.”
