Leeds United have welcomed back a score of players back from injury since the international break, and at a good time too ahead of a tricky period of upcoming fixtures.

Daniel James made an early return against Burnley before Noah Okafor came back into the fold against West Ham United, having missed the trip to Turf Moor. Lucas Perri had been on the bench against Burnley but was not match-ready, despite recovering from his quad setback.

He was reintroduced back between the sticks on Friday night, playing his first match since August. He has kept two clean sheets this season, though will do well to keep more in the coming weeks.

A tough trip to Brighton & Hove Albion awaits next Saturday before a visit to Nottingham Forest eight days later. After the November international break is Aston Villa at home before the perilous run of Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool in the space of eight days.

United will need not only everyone available but all assets on top form as the winter schedule begins. Here are the two players who have question marks over them.

Gabriel Gudmundsson

The left-back went down holding the small of his back just before half-time against West Ham. Despite trying to continue, he was forced off and replaced by James Justin, who deputised well.

Replays showed Gudmundsson had picked up his issue when falling on Jaka Bijol’s boot while trying to block a wayward shot. The fact he was able to walk off the field is always an encouraging sign.

Leeds United have slashed up to 50% off select kits and merch on their official club store, including this season's home shirt.

Daniel Farke says he hopes the issue is just a bruise and nothing more. Losing him for a significant spell would be a shame given his terrific start to the season. Farke will give the latest update on him on Thursday but the hope is that the issue is not long term.

Expected return date: November 9 vs Nottingham Forest

Wilfried Gnonto

Gnonto has not played for six weeks, after injuring his calf in training. That kept him out of the games against Wolves, Bournemouth and Tottenham but was on the mend over the last international break.

However, the Italian then required minor surgery on a hernia and consequently missed the defeat to Burnley. He faced a late fitness test ahead of West Ham but did not make the cut in the end.

Gnonto could return this weekend - barring another luckless setback - but will not be starting given his significant time away from match action. His last start came against Newcastle United in August and his last outing overall, a late cameo substitution for the injured James against Fulham.

Expected return date: November 1 vs Brighton & Hove Albion
