Brentford player’s agent says transfer interest ‘inevitable’ if performances continue

Michael Kayode impressed for Brentford in their 3-2 win over Liverpool.

The Italian was handed the Man of the Match award, and gave a dressing speech afterwards. He sounded very settled and happy with his current football life.

Kayode joined Brentford on an initial loan deal from Fiorentina in January. The move was made permanent in the summer.

As his stature grows in the Premier League, his agent Claudio Vigorelli has spoken to Tuttomercatoweb and was asked about the 21-year-old’s future at Brentford.

Vigorelli said: “It’s still very early. Let’s enjoy this good moment for him, then it’s inevitable that if he continues on this trend, something important could come his way.”

Kayode’s agent was also asked if the defender’s move to England is a regret for Italian football.

“Brentford was a major opportunity that came at a time when he wasn’t playing much.

“We took advantage of it, and after a six-month loan that went very well, the club decided to buy him out, not letting him slip away. That’s how it went, and we’re all happy.”

Kayode has earned a reputation for using his long-throws. When asked about it, Vigorelli said: “He’s made himself even more prominent, but he’d already demonstrated this ability with throws in Florence. He’s perfecting and consolidating them in England, too.”

The defender is attracting attention again in Italy. He showed a lot of promise at Fiorentina in the 2023/24 season.
