Nigerian has opportunity to land Manchester City transfer – Impresses Etihad officials with ‘technique and skills’

Nigerian youngster Angelo Agbejoye is currently on trial at Manchester City.

That’s what Africa Foot are reporting, and they cover how the 18-year-old ended up on Manchester City’s radar.

Earlier this year, the winger underwent trials at AIK Stockholm and Hannover 96. The experience of training with the second division German club can help him prepare for the challenge at Manchester City.

Africa Foot say he’s currently representing Nigerian side Grassrunners FC. They add the young attacker’s ‘technique and skills’ has attracted the attention of Citizens scouts and coaches.

If he were to impress and convince the coaches, the report states Agbejoye will have an opportunity to land a contract from Manchester City. This can help him launch his career.

In May, the teenager trained with AIK Stockholm’s U19 side and their first team. They weren’t able to sign him then as he didn’t 18 years of age until August.

AIK recruitment manager Fredrik Wisur Hansen then told Fotbollskanalen the Nigerian has the “X-factor”. The official had also explained what type of player he is.

“A winger who has a nose for goal and who has good speed. He has good finishing ability with his left foot. There is something in him and he will have the opportunity to grow into this,” he said.

Whether Manchester City will offer a contract to Agbejoye remains to be seen.
