Real Madrid enjoyed a successful weekend as they beat arch-rivals FC Barcelona 2-1 in La Liga to extend their lead at the top to five points.
However, there was fair share of controversy to come out of the evening at the Santiago Bernabeu, one of which could become a major concern for Los Blancos.
Indeed, Vinicius Jr.’s outburst at Xabi Alonso after his substitution in the second half against Barça, lashing out at the manager and heading straight to the locker room.
Vinicius has lost trust in Alonso
Now, according to journalist Marcos Benito on El Chiringuito TV, Vinicius’ trust in Alonso has fully ‘shattered’ after how things have gone so far for him this season.
After all, the Brazilian winger has lost his undisputed place in the team this term and has been benched for a couple of games and been taken off earlier than he is used to during matches.

Frustration has been building up for some time now, and it all surfaced after Vinicius was subbed off in the Clasico, at a time when he was at his best, creating all sorts of problems for Hansi Flick’s side.
As such, the report states that the Brazilian international has lost his trust in the manager and the feeling is that it might get difficult for them to coexist at the club if the situation continues like this.
The Real Madrid administration, for its part, is not getting involved and have given Alonso free reign over the team to do things the way he sees fit.
Vinicius, on the other hand, reportedly feels disrespected and could consider a departure in the summer of 2026, when he enters the final year of his contract.
The situation is certainly tense and Alonso & co. will need to manage it delicately.
