Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world, so saying yes to joining them is not a hard decision.
Yet one player clearly found it difficult to say goodbye to his former club before departing for Stamford Bridge.
In the 2024 summer transfer window, Chelsea made a whole host of signings, bringing in the likes of Pedro Neto, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo.
Leaving Wolves for Chelsea represented a step up for Neto, but it did not make saying goodbye to Molineux any easier.

Pedro Neto cried when he had to say goodbye to Wolves
Neto had been at Chelsea’s Premier League rivals for five years, making over 100 appearances for them in all competitions.
The winger made a lot of friends during his time at Wolves and, ultimately, found it hard to wave goodbye, to the point where he was actually in tears.
“As hard as it was for us, I think it was probably harder for Pedro,” Wolves’ former sporting director told Wolves’ official club website last year. “Tears all morning at the training ground — I don’t think Pedro wanted to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers, and I’ve spoken to him since and he’ll always love the club.
“But it felt like an opportunity for him that he couldn’t turn down and a deal for us we couldn’t turn down.”
The Portuguese will have no regrets about joining Chelsea, though. Since moving to SW6, he has managed to get his hands on both the Club World Cup and Conference League trophies.
Neto has also had the opportunity to play in the Champions League this season, featuring in two of Chelsea’s league phase games.
Chelsea fans wanted Neto to be rested for their last European match against Ajax, a wish Enzo Maresca went on to grant.

Joe Cole thinks Pedro Neto has become Chelsea’s ‘unsung hero’
Chelsea will be glad that Neto was able to detach himself from Wolves and join them. Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, he has been one of the team’s best attackers.
However, Joe Cole does not think that the Portugal international always gets the credit that he deserves.
As Cole praised Neto following Chelsea’s 1-0 win against Benfica in the Champions League, he said: “He’s been brilliant. He’s the unsung hero in this team. Any Chelsea fan will tell you, he delivers.”
Chelsea’s next game will see them play Neto’s former side Wolves. But with the 25-year-old now being a key player for the Blues, he is likely to be rested.
