**West Ham are unlikely to be able to recall Edson Alvarez from his season loan to Fenerbahçe, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**
Following what has been a disastrous season, with the club currently sitting on just 4 points from the opening 9 fixtures, there is a growing belief that West Ham are facing relegation to the Championship in May.
The club have appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as manager, however the former Nottingham Forest boss have managed to gain just 1 point in the 4 games under his command thus far.
The only remaining hope appears to be the club not being cut adrift and then being able to spend in January to spearhead a fight for survival, with some suggesting that Alvarez should be recalled to help join the fight.
It has been reported by Ex however that a return for the Mexico international is unlikely, with any agreement sitting with his current club in Turkey.
“Edson Alvarez is unlikely to return to the club early from his loan,” stated Ex. “Any call for him to return sits with Fenerbahçe, which at this point seems highly unlikely.”
