Barcelona winger’s discomfort has practically disappeared, but player still not at 100% – report

According to journalist Adria Albets, sources from within FC Barcelona have revealed that Lamine Yamal’s pubic discomfort has “practically disappeared,” although the young winger has yet to reach his full physical sharpness.

The 18-year-old sensation has been struggling with a pubalgia issue since returning from duty with the Spanish national team in September.

That persistent pain has affected both his availability and performance levels.

During this period, he was sidelined for five matches and, in those he did play, he looked far from his usual dynamic self, lacking the burst and agility that define his game.

He made a brief return in the clash against Real Sociedad, where he played a crucial half-hour and helped his team secure a victory.

However, his progress was soon halted as the discomfort flared up again, forcing him to miss the next match against Sevilla.

Since then, Yamal has scored just once and has not been able to replicate the dazzling dribbling and explosiveness that once made him a nightmare for defenders.

The problem is still there

Barcelona’s medical staff are well aware of the situation. The feeling within the club is that, now that the intensity of El Clasico has passed, the main objective is to help him fully recover and regain the sharpness he had before the injury.

Reports even noted that he played the Clasico through pain, which significantly reduced his movement and shooting capacity, estimated to be cut down by half.

Despite this, club insiders have reassured that the problem is nearly resolved, though they admit that Yamal might not yet feel entirely comfortable on the pitch.

Barcelona plan to manage his workload carefully over the coming weeks to ensure he can return to his best form naturally.

Everyone at the club is convinced that once he shakes off the lingering discomfort, Yamal will again become the electrifying and decisive player who was turning heads across Europe.
