Arsenal are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich starlet Lennart Karl, according to reports in the German media.
The attacking midfielder has been catching the eye after making his first-team breakthrough, having scored his first professional goal against Club Brugge in the Champions League last week.

Karl followed that up with another strike after coming on as a second-half substitute during a 3-0 win against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
Following that game, it was reported by German Tabloid Bild that the Gunners, Chelsea and Manchester City had been sending scouts to monitor the 17-year-old’s progress.
Karl’s agent is a former Bayern and Chelsea star
Germany legend Michael Ballack represents the teenager, and he has taken on a mentorship role, drawing on his own experience from his playing career.
Ballack was also an attacking midfielder, having established himself at Bayer Leverkusen and reaching the Champions League before going on to have even greater success at Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Arsenal have next to no chance of signing Karl at the moment
While sporting director Andrea Berta and the recruitment department will be keeping a close eye on the German, like they do with every other young talent in Europe, the likelihood of the player moving to the Emirates is low.
Karl can’t sign a professional contract until he turns 18 years of age. However, there is a pre-agreement in place, which means he will extend his stay to 2029, whilst also being handed a competitive wage.
It is believed that no release clause will be included in the deal, which means that Bayern will have complete control over his future. With the player having also expressed his ambitions of establishing himself as a key player with the Bundesliga champions, the Gunners will only be able to maintain a watching brief.
