Packers collect food donations at Lambeau Field Tuesday

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers and Sargento are teaming up for a drive-through food collection Tuesday at Lambeau Field.

Between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., bring non-perishable food items to Parking Lot 4. That’s off Lombardi Avenue, near the Miller Lite gate.

Packers and Sargento employees will collect your donations.

It’s for the 23rd annual Touchdowns for Hunger “Day of Action.”

Needs include:

* Protein sources, such as canned meats, seafood, poultry and peanut butter

* Canned fruit in light syrup

* Canned vegetables

* Canned soups

* Whole grains including pasta and cereal

* Thanksgiving items are also in demand, such as stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce

The program aims to fight hunger in Wisconsin. In addition to Tuesday’s donations, for every touchdown the Packers score during the regular season, they donate $2,000 to Paul’s Pantry in Green Bay.

Touchdowns for Hunger has contributed more than $1.9 million towards hunger relief since the first one in 2003.
