FOLLOWING the boycott of the Brentford game – from which the official attendance statistics have yet to be released- supporter umbrella group ‘Hammers United’ have decreed that the next phase of the fan vs West Ham board protest will co-oncide with Newcastle United’s visit to London Stadium on Sunday next.
News of the protest has spread as far as our opponents, whose various fan sites have reported the boycott for their own supporters information. As per themag.co.uk:
“West Ham supporters are set to stage a lock-in ahead of November’s game against Newcastle as protests against the club’s ownership ramp up. [They actually mean after the game has finished MT.]

Sit-in arranged after the Newcastle United home fixture
Supporters’ groups Hammers United and Crossed Hammers organised marches ahead of Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace in an attempt to build pressure on chairman David Sullivan and vice-chair Karren Brady to step down.”
Quite how well supported the ‘lock in ‘ will be depends much on the result, the weather and how resolute West Ham fans are win their continued protest: Unlike the Brentford boycott, Hammers United are not calling for fans to stay away completely so it is quite possible the response could be far more visible than last week’s event.
The supporter group will also”*be leafleting before the Newcastle match to further raise awareness and we need as many as possible to help out for an hour or so.*“. ..Details on hammersunited.co.uk
