Lamine Yamal finds himself in the eye of the storm following FC Barcelona’s 2-1 loss to Real Madrid on Sunday in El Clasico.
The 18-year-old winger had made some comments in the buildup to the match that did not go down well at the capital club.
The youngster, as such, was constantly jeered by fans at the Santiago Bernabeu during the match, where he failed to perform, while he was also involved in a melee with several opposition players after the final whistle.
Scheduled interview cancelled
Amidst all the controversy, there have been concerns about Lamine and his off-the-field actions within the Barcelona camp.
Now, according to Jose Alvarez of El Chiringuito TV, Barcelona and Lamine have agreed to cancel an interview that he had scheduled for today.
The teenage La Masia gem was allegedly set to have a chat with French streamer AmineMaTue.

But amidst all the noise surrounding his comments leading up to the Clasico and the fallout from it over the weekend, Barça reportedly recommended him not to go ahead with the interview.
And, the Spanish international is understood to have accepted the club’s suggestion, leading to the cancellation of the interview with AmineMaTue.
Lamine has been drawing a lot of fire in recent days, especially from the Madrid camp, following his comments during a Kings League promotion stream, where he jokingly said that the Merengues ‘steal and complain’.
As mentioned earlier, the youngster was booed and whistled at the Bernabeu while some of the Madrid players also had a go at him during and after the match.
Given the delicate situation at the moment, cancelling the interview perhaps may have been in Lamine’s best interest, so that he can focus on recovering fully from his pubic discomfort and recapturing his best form for Barcelona.
