Following the Chicago Bears' Week 8 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, in which Chicago lost 30-16 to a Lamar Jackson-less Ravens team, there are a lot of questions that need to be answered.
Caleb Williams didn't play great, but neither did the Bears' defense. With the season-ending injury to second-round rookie Shemar Turner, the defensive front of the Bears is an area of concern.
But it's not just the depth of the defensive line that should have Ryan Poles looking for help at the trade deadline. As Nate Tice of Yahoo Sports points out, the Bears recorded just three pressures against the Ravens, a clear sign that the Bears need to address the defensive front at the trade deadline.
Bears need to address the struggling defensive line at the trade deadline
"The Bears' defense recorded 3 pressures today. The entire game. 3." Tice writes. "It's final per @NextGenStats. I should have clarified that it was 3 dropbacks that had pressure (there were plays where multiple players recorded pressure)."

While the Bears recorded three pressures on the day, four players recorded pressures during the game, but it's still a major issue that needs to be addressed.
Montez Sweat and Gervon Dexter Sr. finished with two pressures each, while Grady Jarrett and Noah Sewell each had one pressure. Dexter and Sweat each recorded a sack, but the rest of the defensive line hasn't performed well enough.
It's a clear need for the Bears at the deadline. Adding more pass rush at the deadline should be a priority for Poles and Ben Johnson, as sticking with this unit won't be enough to contend with top offensive lines.

At 4-3, the Bears can still go on a run and make the playoffs, but adding another pass rusher would go a long way to making the defensive line better. Whether it's a one-year rental like Jaelan Phillips or a longer-term addition like Bradley Chubb, the Bears should be gauging the pass rusher trade market.
The trade deadline is one week away, and there's one final look at the pass rush and any other positions of need with a Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Adding pass rush help should be a priority at the deadline for Poles, as their performance against the Ravens in Week 8 highlighted just how much of a problem their pass rush has been this season.
