Bayern Munich made a bold move on the transfer market in the final days of the window, bagging [Chelsea](https://chelseanews.com/) striker Nicolas Jackson on loan. A late injury to Liam Delap nearly threw the whole deal off, but Chelsea were able to recall Marc Guiu’s loan and send out Jackson anyway.
So far, Jackson has done absolutely nothing to make Bayern Munich think that it would be worth it to spend the whopping 60-65 million euros necessary to buy the former Villarreal man permanently.
According to a report from Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany, the stance from Bayern Munich is that it would take a miracle for Die Roten to keep him beyond the 2025/26 season.
That report from Plettenberg comes as no surprise, but for any Chelsea fan who was under any illusion that the Blues would be able to score a big sale with Jackson permanently becoming Harry Kane’s backup, this report will hopefully be a reality check.
Bayern are already looking at younger, better striker options within the Bundesliga, while Chelsea themselves have to be understanding in some way, since they don’t have any interest in Jackson long term either.
