Here's your round-up of all the latest Swansea City news for Tuesday, October 28.

Haaland to be assessed as Rodri out of Swans clash

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says star striker Erling Haaland will face a late fitness test ahead of Wednesday night's Carabao Cup clash with Swansea.

The Norwegian is due to be assessed on Tuesday afternoon, having looked in some discomfort during the 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the weekend, and it remains to be seen whether he will play any part at the Swansea.com Stadium.

“Erling I didn’t see him today but it was a knock and day by day is better," the Spanish boss said. "But now we train this afternoon and will know more exactly how he feels.”

Meanwhile, influential Spanish midfielder Rodri appears to be ruled out, having missed the last three games with a muscular issue.

But Abdukodir Khusanov does look set to be involved against the Swans.

“Khusa is ready to play a few minutes tomorrow and Rodri is still not,” Guardiola added.

“So he's getting better, training with us partially. But, of course, after what happened two times with the muscular injuries we are going to see how he is this week."

No fresh concerns for Sheehan

Meanwhile, Alan Sheehan says he has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Wednesday night's clash.

Malick Yalcouye is the only player definitely out of contention following his suspension, but Sheehan otherwise has a full squad to choose from.

"They're OK," Sheehan responded when asked about the shape of his squad.

"Obviously your standard issues after games, a small bit of fatigue here and there, yeah, looking to see if everyone is recovering OK and getting ready to pick a team for Man City."

However, he says there will likely be changes to the side that edged past Norwich City in the Championship at the weekend.

"I think we need our squad competitive," he added. "We have players close to suspensions at the moment so players need to be ready to step in and just throwing them straight in at the deep end would be unfair.

"But look, we've had players that have played against Nottingham Forest and done exceptionally well.

"I think there will be a couple of changes, but we will be as competitive as we can."

Sheehan urges fans to do their part

Sheehan has also urged the Jack Army to do their part in roaring his side on at the Swansea.com Stadium.

Wednesday night's tie is a sell out, and the Swans boss says backing from the terraces will be crucial to aiding his side's efforts against one of the best club sides in the world.

"It's huge [the impact of supporters]," he said.

"It's a game where if you watch their games there is going to be moments where you get camped in, they control the game, they control the spaces, the territory of the game is in favour of them and they're probably the best team in the world to do that.

"We have to be able to control our moments to limit them and to also be compact and disciplined.

"But in terms of the fans, hopefully we'll give them some moments to get them behind us."
