Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones strongly denied that the team rushed Trevon Diggs back from injury. The cornerback suffered a head injury at home that kept him sidelined during the Week 7 duel against the Washington Commanders and Sunday’s duel against the Denver Broncos.
After the team ruled him out and placed him on injured reserve, Jones denied that the player was rushed back from injury on 105.3 The Fan. He responded to what Micah Parsons said about his former teammate.

“No. No. Not at all,” he said, per reporter Joseph Hoyt.

Additionally, he poured water on rumors suggesting that Diggs had played his final game with the team.

“I don’t see that today at all,” he said, per Jon Machota. “He’s got to get well, and he hasn’t been.”
Jones explained the decision to place Diggs on IR would give him time to heal, as he needed to be in better shape to return. Parsons questioned how the organization handled the Diggs situation, accusing his former team of doing Diggs wrong.

“Honestly, I feel like they f***ed my dog over, you know what I mean?” Parsons said on Sunday. “He’s coming off a catastrophic knee injury and I just didn’t think they did right by him. He didn’t participate all camp and he’s going out there playing Week 1 and 2. I just don’t think you do that to a player like that.”
Jones and Parsons aren’t on the best of terms after a tumultuous contract extension and trade saga. The defensive end/linebacker seemingly has no love for his former boss, and the Diggs injury added more fuel to the fire. Diggs could return in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
