‘Very Good’: Thomas Frank the Latest Manager to Praise Hill Dickinson Crowd

Spurs manager Thomas Frank is the latest Premier League manager to praise the crowd at Hill Dickinson.

Everton suffered their first defeat at the new stadium on Sunday, with Spurs 3-0 winners.

The Toffees conceded twice from first half set pieces, with a Jake O’Brien equaliser ruled out in between.

The Blues chased the game late on, but were left exposed on the counter. An 89th minute Pape Sarr effort sealed the points for Spurs.

However, Spurs manager Thomas Frank was impressed by the crowd at Hill Dickinson.

Speaking after the game, the Danish coach said: “In general, the second half was a little bit more of a dogfight at times, and going here to Everton, which is against a very good team that is well set up by David Moyes and [which has] a very good home crowd.

“They’ve been unbeaten here so far. And you know, to go to any ground in the Premier League, to win 3-0 away from home is a very good result. So yeah, I’m very happy.”

CREATING AN INTIMIDATING ATMOSPHERE COULD BE A HUGE ASSET FOR EVERTON’S HOME FORM

Frank is just the latest manager to be impressed with the Hill Dickinson crowd.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner stated it was ‘very loud’ during Everton’s 2-1 win earlier this month.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal forward Ian Wright said the stadium itself was ‘brilliant’ when watching Everton Women.

It’s taking a little time to get a real atmosphere going at the new stadium. It’s happened organically in sporadic moments, but has yet to really get going on a weekly basis.

It will come, when we’re all settled into a routine and more familiar with our new surroundings.

When it gets going, the sound reverberates around the stadium in an incredibly impressive fashion.

However, it will always occur organically in response to what’s happening on the pitch.
