It was somewhat of a dismal week for many FPL managers this week, with an average score of 46 points, the lowest average since Gameweek 5.
Many FPL managers were left disappointed as several of the most popular assets in the game blanked with major returns. For example, Erling Haaland failed to score, Antoine Semenyo only got three points, and Joao Pedro disappointed yet again.

When there is a week like this, a lot of managers begin to panic and get rid of some of their best players because they make impulsive decisions. With some names such as Haaland and Semenyo, this is obviously something you shouldn’t do, you have to keep hold of them.
But there are some big name players you should consider selling now if you haven’t already. GoonerNews decided to put together a list of 3 FPL players you should sell, and three you could bring in as replacements.
Sell: Joao Pedro, Mo Salah, Tijani Reijnders
In terms of players to sell, we’re looking at three names that are all owned by over 27% of FPL managers, including one with over a 50% ownership number.
Lets start with Pedro at Chelsea. He hasn’t scored more than two points in his last five matches, and at a price of £7.5m is a serious investment. His price hasn’t gone down yet, so now is the time to get out. Plus, there are so many good striker options at this price point with both Jean-Philippe Mateta and Nick Woltemade the best replacements.
Secondly, Mo Salah. If you haven’t got rid of Salah yet, just get away from him now. I know he scored at the weekend, but that was his first game over two points in four weeks. At a cost of £14.3m, he is way to expensive, when you could save big and still have the likes of Bukayo Saka, Cody Gakpo or Semenyo in midfield instead.
Finally, Reijnders is also a sell now. He had a great start to the season, but has got more than three points in just one of his last eight games for Man City. At a price of £5.6m, he is cheaper, but there are some fantastic options to replace him with at a similar price point.
Buy: Jean-Philippe Mateta, Yankuba Minteh, Bryan Mbeumo
Let’s start with Mateta, because he is the easiest one. Everyone rushed to get him in after his hat-trick two weeks ago, but why, because he played against Arsenal’s defence, and surprise, Palace failed to score.
However, now is the time to buy, as his fixtures are excellent moving forward, as Palace face Brentford, Brighton and Wolves in their next three games. His next ‘difficult’ fixture is against Man City in mid-December.
Next up, Brighton’s Minteh is a great differential if you are looking for someone to replace Reijnders with. He is priced at £6m, so just £0.4m more than the City midfielder, but has scored more than two points in six of his nine matches so far this season. His next run of fixtures include Leeds United, Brentford, Forest and West Ham.
Finally, Man United’s Mbeumo is a great option to sign after he scored twice against Brighton at the weekend. The midfielder is more expensive at £8.2m, but his recent form include 24 points in his last two games. He has also blanked in just one of his last five games. Mbeumo would be a great pivot from Salah, where you’d also find yourself saving at least £6m in budget.
