Real Madrid secured a 2-1 win against Barcelona in the first Clasico of the campaign on October 26 at Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos' first goal came with Kylian Mbappe's strike after being set up by Jude Bellingham in the 22nd minute. Fermin Lopez netted the equalizer for Barcelona from an assist by Marcus Rashford in the 38th minute.
Bellingham, then, found the back of the net after being assisted by Eder Militao in the 43rd minute, bringing in the win for Real Madrid.
Following the blow of the final whistle, an exchange between Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal led to a heated confrontation, as other members from both clubs got involved in the brawl.
Despite the tense aftermath of the La Liga clash, the victory was a special one for Real Madrid, who were unable to win any of their four matches against Barcelona last season.
The victory on Sunday also increased Los Blancos' lead in the league table, where they rank first with 27 points after 10 matches and have a five-point lead over second-place Barcelona.

However, there now appears to be a damper on Real Madrid's happiness as the Spanish giants have revealed that Dani Carvajal has sustained an injury that could reportedly sideline him for up to three months.
What happened to Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal?
Back in October last year, Carvajal suffered a cruciate ligament tear, where he ruptured two ligaments and a tendon and had to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
The 33-year-old defender then picked up a muscle injury in Real Madrid's 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid in La Liga in September, making his return to the pitch by coming off the bench against Barcelona in the 72nd minute.
Reports have suggested that Carvajal experienced discomfort at the end of the Clasico, and now it appears that the Spaniard will be facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines with an issue in the same knee that was injured last campaign.
Medical tests have revealed that Carvajal has a loose intra-articular body in the knee joint and would need to undergo an arthroscopy. An official statement by Real Madrid read,
"After the tests carried out to our captain Dani Carvajal by the Medical Services of Real Madrid, he has been diagnosed with the presence of a free joint body in the right knee. Carvajal will undergo an arthroscopy."
A recent report by The Athletic stated that Carvajal has successfully undergone surgery on his right knee, which could keep him out of action for the remainder of this year.
The surgery was reportedly conducted by Dr. Manuel Leyes under the supervision of Los Blancos' medical services, and Carvajal will be starting his rehabilitation programme in the coming days.
While Carvajal is reportedly expected to return to the pitch in January next year, Real Madrid will be focusing on their next La Liga clash, where they will host Valencia at Santiago Bernabeu on November 1.
