Chelsea have found a Champions League suitor for out-of-favor defender

[Chelsea](https://chelseanews.com/) are always in the market to wheel and deal, and they have designs on loading up some more help on the defensive side of the ball after inexplicably failing to sign any center back help for Enzo Maresca this summer after the injury to Levi Colwill.

That has predictably come back to bite the Blues in the behind, with Maresca throwing a bit of a fit at the front office for not addressing a rather obvious transfer need.

But there are some players on defense that the Blues are trying to move on from because they no longer have a role in the team, and one of the most frustrating players has been backup right back Malo Gusto.

According to a report from Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are interested in taking Gusto off of Chelsea’s hands in the January transfer window and could make a move for him.

Juve are in bad need of a right back, and the former Lyon prospect is actually a talented footballer with a great ability to get forward and make things happen in the right environment.

But Gusto just hasn’t made it in the Premier League despite one purple patch, and he’s pretty much become a liability to Chelsea due to the magnitude and repetitive nature of his defensive errors.

Chelsea would love to pawn off Gusto for a little bit of money, as the right back position is well and truly locked up with Reece James, who is back to being world-class after returning to health.
