The Premier League outfit, who have lost five of their last eight in all competitions, head to Adams Park for the fourth round clash, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs.
Around 7,100 fans are expected to be in attendance in South Buckinghamshire, and with Wanderers winning five of their last eight, Silva had revealed that their preparations have been no different if it were a top flight fixture.
Fulham have never won the League Cup, but reached the semi-finals in the 2024 edition, losing to eventual winners, Liverpool.
For Wanderers, it is the first time they have reached this far in the cup since they reached the semi-finals in 2006/07, losing to that season’s eventual winners in Chelsea.
Speaking to the club’s media, Silva said: “No one underestimates the opposition at all.
“We know what these competitions mean for us, and for our opposition, it’s always an opportunity.
“For us, it’s an opportunity to go through in the competition, to arrive at certain stages, and the final stages of this competition.
“For our opposition, it’s always a big chance the next day to be in the spotlight, to be in all the TV shows and newspapers and all that stuff.
“We prepare ourselves like we prepare for the Premier League games, and we have to go there and show our quality.
“Their enthusiasm is going to be top, and we have to have the same enthusiasm as well.”
Including matches against the under-21s, there have been 16 matches between the two sides since the first meeting back in August 1997.
Versus the first team, Wycombe have won two of the 12 matches, drawing four times and losing on six occasions.
It’s easier reading against the young Cottages, as Wanderers have played them four times, winning three and losing once.
All of these games have come in the EFL Trophy, one of which was earlier this month, which the Chairboys won 3-1.
