Jude Bellingham accused of making controversial remark at Barcelona during Real Madrid's Clasico win

Real Madrid secured a 2-1 win against Barcelona in the first Clasico of the campaign on October 26 at Santiago Bernabeu.

Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring for Real Madrid from an assist by Jude Bellingham in the 22nd minute. Barcelona's equalizer came with Fermin Lopez's goal from an assist by Marcus Rashford in the 38th minute.

Bellingham, then, took the lead after being set up by Eder Militao in the 43rd minute, bringing in the win for Los Blancos.

This La Liga match on Sunday saw its fair share of intense moments between the historic rivals, including a heated confrontation that took place after the final whistle between Real Madrid's Dani Carvajal and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal, which grew into a brawl involving other members from both sides.

Now, a report from GOAL has revealed that Bellingham allegedly aimed a controversial dig at Barcelona during a brief clash with Pedri in the match.

What did Jude Bellingham reportedly say to Pedri during the Clasico?

During the second half of the match, Bellingham attempted a foul on Pedri, who reportedly appealed to referee Soto Grado to show the Los Blancos midfielder a red card and send him off.

Following Pedri's appeal to the referee, Bellingham allegedly made a remark, referencing the Negreira case, which is an ongoing investigation into Barcelona being accused of paying hefty amounts to a former vice-president of Spain's Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.

According to reports in Spain, Bellingham allegedly mocked and told Pedri, "Not even with Negreira!" following the Barca star's appeal for a red card.

Even though a Spanish court dismissed bribery charges in the case, as Negreira was not deemed a public official, the investigation is ongoing under sports corruption allegations against Barcelona of making payments of around £7.3m ($9.7m) between 2001 and 2018 to companies linked to the former chief.

While Barcelona have denied these allegations, explaining these payments as legitimate technical reports, prosecutors claim that they were made to influence refereeing decisions.

What's next for Jude Bellingham and Real Madrid?

Bellingham underwent surgery in July after dealing with a left shoulder dislocation for the major part of the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns. He made a swift recovery and returned to the pitch for Los Blancos last month.

The Englishman recently ended his goal drought by netting his first goal of the 2025/26 season in Real Madrid's 1-0 victory against Juventus in the Champions League on October 22 at Santiago Bernabeu.

The winning goal against the Serie A club marked to be Bellingham's first since the Club World Cup in June.

Now, having found the back of the net for Real Madrid in two matches consecutively that led to their victory, Bellingham and Los Blancos will be hoping that the midfielder extends his scoring streak further.

Real Madrid currently rank first in La Liga with 27 points after 10 matches, with a five-point lead over second-place Barca.

Now, Los Blancos are set to host Valencia in their next game in the top flight on November 1.
