Jonathan Taylor Made NFL History With Elite Streak Against Titans

The Tennessee Titans likely don’t want to see Jonathan Taylor ever again.

The Indianapolis Colts running back has dominated his AFC South rival lately, and that was the case again in Week 8.

Taylor became the first player in NFL history to score at least three touchdowns in three consecutive games against the same opponent.

He’s on pace to score 28 touchdowns this season.

Even if that rate isn’t sustainable — which, for a player of his caliber playing behind that line and within that offense, it might be — he should be one of the leading candidates to win NFL MVP.

The Colts have the best offense in the game right now, and their only loss of the season came on the road against the Los Angeles Rams.

They have the best point differential in the league, and they’ve defeated some pretty good teams, including the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers.

Unfortunately, Taylor faces long odds in the MVP race.

The past 12 winners have been quarterbacks, and, as unfair as it is, it seems like Taylor would have to do even more than this to draw serious consideration for the award.

This is a team sport, and the running back has a lot to do with its success.

Then again, this is a quarterback league, and players at other positions, like Taylor, usually have to settle for Offensive Player of the Year instead.
