[Chelsea](https://chelseanews.com/) will be back in action on Wednesday night in the League Cup against Wolves, and while facing any Premier League team this early in a cup competition is technically a tough matchup, the Blues will like their chances against one of the top flight’s worst teams.
Coming off a 2-1 loss to Sunderland to break up an impressive streak of four straight wins, including two in the Champions League, Chelsea will be out to put the hurt on Wolves and advance another round in the League Cup.
And it sounds like they will get a huge boost, too, as manager Enzo Maresca informed reporters at the press conference before Chelsea vs. Wolves that young striker Liam Delap will finally be available for the team.
Delap has been injured since Aug. 31 with a hamstring injury, and he has missed around 15 games already for the Blues. He has been sorely missed, and it’s honestly no coincidence that center forward partner Joao Pedro has not scored since Delap has been injured.
The out-and-out striker on the Chelsea roster, Delap should get a chunk of minutes against Wolves, though he may not start, and that will be massive for the club wtih a rivalry tilt against fellow Champions League side Tottenham Hotspur coming up this weekend in the Premier League.
