Nick Sirianni reluctantly responds to A.J. Brown question with perfect spin move

It's certainly been an interesting year for the Philadelphia Eagles as they try to get back to the Super Bowl for the third time in four years. Still, they are dealing with drama off the field with their wide receiver, A.J. Brown, whom head coach Nick Sirianni would love to stop answering questions on.

Sirianni appeared on SportsRadio 94WIP in Philadelphia, where he was asked directly about what is going on with Brown. The head coach did not seem excited to answer the question, but he is excited to get his wide receiver back.

"You know, obviously, I think you are referring to is probably that, you know, a couple of weeks ago. That was a couple of weeks ago. It's been business as usual. Really excited to get him back on the field. I've almost forgot about what happened a couple of weeks ago. Just working on ways to get better. I know he wants to do everything he can do to get back out there. We're excited to be able to get him back. You can only judge things after your interactions and how they are in the building and A.J.'s been great in the building. In my interactions, I'm always in communication with all our guys. Obviously, A.J. as well. So, looking forward to when he can get back and I know he wants to get back out there and help us win football games."

Eagles looked good without Brown, but offense can evolve with him in lineup

Brown dealt with a hamstring injury last week that kept him out of practice and their 38-20 win over the New York Giants in Week 8. The offense ran for 276 yards, and Jalen Hurts had a season-best four touchdown passes in the win.

Since his cryptic tweet the world saw after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers game, Brown has been showing steady progress. He had caught 15 passes for 244 yards and two touchdowns. In his last game against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 7, he nabbed four passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns in their win over the men in purple.

The good news is that the Eagles finally found the running game (with some help from Fred Johnson in the jumbo package). One question after the bye week is how Brown will fit into this new offense after having success against the Giants.

There have been trade rumors suggesting Brown wants out, but ESPN's Adam Schefter has since refuted them. It appears all signs are pointing towards Brown being an Eagle for the 2025 season.

Sirianni has been great about handling different personalities and making sure everyone focuses on the goal of winning. Once Brown is back, the Eagles will be firing on all cylinders after the bye week.
