Senne Lammens tops Premier League goalkeeping stat
Lammens has shown an elite mentality during his first few weeks at United, and he is deservedly receiving praise from pundits, fans and teammates.
Head coach Ruben Amorim challenged Lammens to now become consistent after a very impressive start, and the signs are positive that United have landed a brilliant signing in the shape of the young Belgian.
As pointed out by Statman Dave, on average, Lammens is preventing 0.66 goals every game through his saves and contributions.

That ranks Lammens above all other Premier League goalkeepers this season. Of course, the sample size is small, but it is concrete evidence that Lammens has had a direct impact on United’s recent success.
Lammens’ best performance was against Liverpool, where he made several key stops including a one-vs-one denial against Alexander Isak. At Anfield, Lammens prevented 1.33 goals across his five saves.
Senne Lammens has mentality to succeed at Man United
Red Devils legend Gary Neville has repeatedly argued that being United’s goalkeeper is the toughest position in the Premier League because of the scrutiny and constant spotlight.
So far, there has been nothing but positive things to say about Lammens and his performances between the sticks, but it is how he recovers from mistakes that will determine whether he is a success or not.
Andre Onana struggled to handle the pressure of being United’s No.1 after facing criticism over his mistakes, but it seems Lammens is well-equipped to stay level-headed.

Lammens’ former coach Rik De Mil told the Daily Mail: “Over the years he developed into somebody who can handle this pressure. When he makes a mistake, he just continues. He has grown a lot in this.”
Lammens has received advice from Thibaut Courtois, while Peter Schmeichel has also been complimentary of the young Belgian. Lammens has already won over the United fanbase, and he already appears settled in Amorim’s side.
