Sebastiaan Bornauw joined Leeds United from VfL Wolfsburg for a reported £5.1m in July.
The centre-back spent four years at Wolfsburg and his spell was made complicated by injuries. He was limited to 96 appearances for the German club.
RTBF now cover the latest on his situation at Leeds United.
They say he joined the Whites with hope of relaunching his career after ‘injury-plagued’ spell with Wolfsburg. However, he hasn’t been able to do that because Daniel Farke hasn’t considered him.
Bornauw started in Leeds United’s EFL Cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in August and that’s been his only appearance so far. Farke hasn’t considered him in the Premier League and even left him out of the squad for four matches.
The 26-year-old is currently the fourth choice at Leeds United, behind Pascal Struijk, Joe Rodon and another summer signing, Jaka Bijol.
Last month, Farke explained Bornauw is at a disadvantage because of the injury suffered during pre-season. This meant he fell behind others in the pecking order. The Belgian’s situation is unlikely to change unless there’s fresh developments.
RTBF say he has had ‘no say in the matter at Leeds United’ and claim Bornauw’s English adventure is ‘turning into a nightmare’.
