The ongoing saga between the Dallas Cowboys and Trevon Diggs gets messier with each passing day. Diggs is currently on injured reserve with a concussion, of which we still don't know the details, and a right knee injury that's bothered him throughout the season.
It should be noted that it is not Diggs' left knee, which he had operated on last January. This is a new issue with the opposite knee, and Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News revealed that Diggs might need to undergo a minor procedure if rest doesn't do the job.
It feels like Diggs' relationship with Jerry and Stephen Jones is fractured beyond repair, and Micah Parsons came to his former teammate's defense after the Packers' win on Sunday night. On top of saying that the Cowboys screwed Diggs over by playing him in Week 1, Parsons hinted that Diggs might be on his way out of Dallas.
“I just hope he gets into a situation where he can have a lot of success, because I know what type of player he can be when he's healthy. I think they let him down," Parsons said, via Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports.
Micah Parsons fuels Cowboys rumors that Trevon Diggs is on the outs
Cowboys placed Trevon Diggs on IR amid concussion, knee injury & need "to be in better shape to play," per Jerry Jones. Trevon hasn't spoken publicly about it.
"I feel like they f***ed my dog over," Micah Parsons told me. "You just don't do that."

It feels like Parsons knows Diggs is on the outs. They are extremely close, and it stands to reason they keep in contact regularly, even though Parsons is now in Green Bay.
Parsons saying he hopes Diggs "gets into a situation" where he can have success implies that Diggs will be on a new team sooner rather than later, whether he is traded by the November 4 deadline or released in the offseason.

A large contingent of Cowboys fans is fed up with Diggs, which is understandable. He's had a negative energy about him since Parsons got traded, and his play on the field has only amplified the criticism. The former All-Pro owns the worst passer rating allowed among CBs that have played at least 200 coverage snaps this season, per PFF. His 19.3 yards per catch allowed is also the worst at the position.
Furthermore, Diggs didn't do himself any favors when he showed little to no interest in Dak Prescott's pregame speech before the Week 4 clash against the Packers on Sunday Night Football went viral. Diggs was spotted on the outside of the huddle while the rest of the team was engaged with Prescott.
It feels like Diggs is mentally checked out. He certainly could've handled that situation better, but the frustration on his end is totally justified. Sure, he rehabbed away from the team in the offseason, but he beat his expected timeline by several weeks and was ready for the season opener.
Jerry Jones only made things worse by throwing Trevon Diggs under the bus multiple times this summer. Instead of commending Diggs for working hard to return, he questioned his approach to ACL rehab, called out his leadership for missing offseason workouts, and even fined him $500,000.
Both sides are "in the wrong", but can you really blame Diggs for seemingly wanting out? Regardless of how you divvy up the blame pie, it feels like a matter of when Diggs is no longer a member of the Cowboys.
Parsons' explosive defense of No. 7 only reinforces that sentiment.
