The Dallas Mavericks sued the NHL’s Stars in Texas’ Business Courts Tuesday, accusing the hockey organization of blocking the basketball team’s attempts to invest in the arena after allegedly abandoning their partnership, according to a Tuesday lawsuit.
“To put it plainly, the Stars are holding the American Airlines Center hostage. Much-needed maintenance and improvements to the Arena are being delayed while the Stars block investment in the future and demand cash distributions from a partnership in which they no longer have an ownership stake,” [said the lawsuit filed](https://aboutblaw.com/bjYs) in Texas Business Court Tuesday.
