Aaron Rodgers told Micah Parsons something no QB has ever said after near sack

Micah Parsons walked into Lambeau Field on Sunday night with one clear mission. The Green Bay Packers edge rusher wanted to take down Aaron Rodgers and add another veteran quarterback to his growing sack collection.

He got his wish eventually, but the most memorable moment between the two didn’t happen on that takedown. On one particular play, Rodgers escaped the pocket and drifted right while Parsons came charging from behind.

At the final instant, Rodgers sensed the pressure and quickly threw the ball away. What could have been a tense moment instead ended with both players smiling.

After the game, Parsons revealed the lighthearted exchange they had, and it involved some unexpected real estate talk.

“He told me to buy his house,” Parsons said, per NFL on X.

The comment makes sense when you consider Parsons’ recent contract situation. After trade discussions with the Dallas Cowboys fell apart over extension terms, Parsons joined Green Bay on a four-year, $188 million contract that includes $120 million guaranteed and a $44 million signing bonus.

So if Rodgers is thinking about selling his old Green Bay home, Parsons could easily afford it now. Building a new legacy in the same city Rodgers once ruled would be fitting.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (8) gets sacked by Green Bay Packers defensive end Micah Parsons (1) during the second half at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, PA on October 26, 2025.

Parsons also shared what Rodgers told him during that close call.

“The one where I was like, hawking him down, and I was like this close to getting him. He was like, ‘I heard the crowd.’ I was like, that’s some vet s— right there. He’s great to play,” Parsons added.

The unusually large crowd at Lambeau Field gave Rodgers an unexpected assist. As fans roared in anticipation of a sack, Rodgers used the rising volume as his cue and released the ball just in time.

These in-game moments between a future Hall of Famer and one of the game’s rising stars carry weight beyond the box score.
