When the team news lands at 1.45pm on Saturday afternoon, there would be few quibbles should Ruben Amorim decide to name an unchanged side.

The Manchester United boss made two changes on Saturday to the team that performed so well at Anfield a week earlier. One was enforced as the injured Harry Maguire was replaced by Leny Yoro, while Amorim opted to bring Benjamin Sesko in as the focal point of the attack having moved back to a striker-less system at Liverpool.

The changes did little to halt United's momentum, and the challenge now is to keep the ball rolling and make it four wins in a row against Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Amorim will likely continue with Sesko as the spearhead of the attack, and although the head coach said last week that he hoped to have Maguire back against Forest, it would be unwise to throw him straight back into the XI after a short spell on the sidelines.

Everything points to an unchanged team, but Amorim should consider making at least one alteration.

Diogo Dalot has started all of United's previous four games since returning from injury, seeing out the full 90 minutes in all bar one of those outings.

While Amorim's 3-4-3 system relies on wing-backs who can provide an attacking threat, the United boss knows he can't afford to leave his backline exposed, and so he tends to choose a more attack-minded option on one side with the balance of a more defensive option on the opposite flank.

Dalot has been his go-to defensive option in recent weeks, and while the team have been playing well, Dalot has struggled.

The Portugal international doesn't provide enough quality in the final third when presented with a chance to get forward, and he's also struggled defensively at times. United's winning run has meant his performances have gone somewhat under the radar, and a change is needed before he costs United.

A right-back by trade, it must be acknowledged that Dalot has often been playing out of position on the left, a position Noussair Mazraoui filled in at on multiple occasions last season.

The former Bayern Munich defender has suffered a couple of knocks this term that have limited his playing time, but he has made the last two matchday squads without being introduced from the bench.

He was one of United's most consistent performers in his first season at the club, and while he is unlikely to unpick defences with attacking guile, he will provide the defensive solidity United need, allowing Amad to provide the threat on the opposite side.

Forest's fluid front three will be a test for United this weekend and so their defence need to be at their best.

Amorim would be wise to make a change.
