Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has praised the impact of Joe Gelhardt after the forward scored his third goal in as many games against Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
Gelhardt's fine strike appeared to be enough to seal a fourth win on the spin against Charlton Athletic before a 91st-minute concession denied the Tigers a fifth home victory of the season.
While Gelhardt will probably be unhappy with his part in the set-piece goal, which saw the unmarked Luke Berry turn in from James Bree's header, he will have been delighted with the manner of his strike from just inside the box and his impressive form.

That goal saw him take his tally for the season to five in 12 games, and 10 in the colours of City, having initially arrived on loan from Leeds United in January, and his manager is pleased with what he's seeing.
"Yes (he was very good). This is Joffo, this is his quality, he's able to play in many positions, right winger, number 10, even with Kyle like a striker. He helps our team a lot, and the group, too, and I'm very, very happy with him."
Jakirovic has also been full of praise for Ryan Giles, who continues to catch the eye. Giles has been one of the Championship's stand-out performers going forward this season, but in recent games, his defensive work has improved massively.
"He played good, maybe this is something that we lacked in the first half because he put in a few great crosses, but we were not there with numbers in the box, just one or two, and this is something that we changed in the second half, but he played good, he was stable."
Joel Ndala has barely featured since returning from a foot injury, and the head coach says he was close to coming on against Charlton, but opted instead to deploy Darko Gyabi.

"He was in our plans to come on and play but we had to change that plan after Liam Millar's injury, so we put on Darko (Gyabi) instead, but he will get the chance for sure in the next games."
