HIGH-FLYING BLUES
John McGreal and Chris Casement's side are currently unbeaten in their opening seven league games, having only earned Category One status this summer.
They have secured victories over some of the best academy sides in the country, including a 3-2 home win over Liverpool and a 4-2 win at Chelsea.
It's been a team effort with every player making an impact - but here are my eight standout stars so far....

TUDOR MENDEL
The exciting winger is a name many Town fans may have heard already, having had some impressive displays for the under-21s since signing from Belgian side Anderlecht last year.
Mendel, who was nominated for the PL2 Player of the Month award for September, has netted four goals and assisted a further two more so far this campaign.
A tricky right sider, he's also notable for his outstanding academic record - he once took part in the Child Genius competition on Channel 4, finishing second, and was made a King's Scholar at Eton College at the age of 13.
A talented young man on and off the pitch!

SOMTO BONIFACE
The 19-year-old full-back was involved in the first-team at the end of last season after being named on the bench in the Premier League, having joined Town from Chelsea in February.
And Boniface, who came through the youth system at Stamford Bridge, has impressed since his move to Portman Road, contributing with both goals and assists.
He missed the start of the campaign due to injury, but since returning he's slotted back into the side at left-back, showing his pace and power.

RYAN CARR
The 21-year-old midfielder joined Town from Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee in January 2023 and since been a regular for the under-21s.
Carr, who has also featured for Kieran McKenna's side in pre-season through the years, is currently the under-21s captain, playing in the number ten role.
He spent last campaign on loan at Gateshead and Ebbsfleet United, which were both difficult spells but good learning experiences.
Carr is a key player in this side - he makes things tick and leads by example.

JOSH PITTS
The attacker joined Town from Southampton at the start of 2025, having spent time on trial before signing a professional contract.
Pitts, who is from Portsmouth, had been with the Saints since the U9s and was a regular goal scorer in their youth sides. And he has already shown his quality in front of goal for the Blues since joining.
He is capped at U21 international for Malta, having represented his grandmother's country at U18 level previously. He now has Maltese citizenship.

LUCA FLETCHER
The 18-year-old forward moved to Town on a season-long loan from Man City last month. His loan deal is reported to have an obligation to buy and is also said to include buy-back and sell-on clauses.
Fletcher started his career with his hometown club Reading, before moving on to City in summer of 2023. He was a prolific goal scorer for their U18s side last season.
He is primarily a central striker but can also operate on the left and right, netting on his Town U21s debut in the impressive 4-2 win over Chelsea.

WALKER SHABAZZ-EDWARDS
The defender has had a different journey to some of his team-mates, having joined Town from non-league side Brightlingsea Regent earlier this year.
Shabazz-Edwards was playing well in the eighth-tier, attracting plenty of interest, and impressed on trial at Town, being rewarded with a professional contract,
He is a modern-day centre half, standing 6ft 4ins tall. He reads the game well and is very composed all the ball. He's a big threat at corners too, of course!
Jamie Mauge made the step up to the under-21s last season. (Image: Ross Halls)
JAMIE MAUGE
The Ipswich-born youngster is a hardworking forward, who signed his first professional contract at Portman Road in the summer, having enjoyed a successful 2024/25 season which saw him step up into the U21s side and have a spell on loan at Bury Town.
Mauge, whose father is former Plymouth and Trinidad & Tobago international midfielder Ronnie, has been at Town since the summer of 2020 after joining from Needham Market’s youth set-up.
He netted a late winner in the 1-0 victory at Nottingham Forest earlier this month for his first goal of the season. The frontman has fierce competition in his position, but he seems to thrive on that.

WOODY WILLIAMSON
The 19-year-old goalkeeper is currently the young Blues' number one, with him competing with George Barrett, who has been loaned to Canvey Island, and Henry Gray, who has recently been recalled from his loan at Braintree Town following Alex Palmer's injury.
Williamson, who is a Scotland U19 international, was previously at Arsenal’s academy, joining the Blues in 2020. He starred for the U18s side, before becoming a regular for the U21s.
He is a excellent shot stopper and commands his area well. Last season he spent time on loan at Chelmsford City, including making one appearance as a late outfield substitute.
YOUNG BLUES ON LOAN
A few players who have featured for the U21s are currently getting valuable experience on loan, including captain Tommy Taylor, who joined Cheltenham Town on deadline day, linking-up with defender Jacob Mazionis.
Midfielder Finley Barbrook, who is at Lincoln City, has struggled for minutes at the Imps so has also featured for the young Blues recently.
Attacking duo Ash Boatswain and Rio Morgan are at Woking and Billericay Town respectively,
