Manchester United youngster Jayden Ngwashi trained with the first-team this week.
Ngwashi, 17, helped to supplement the numbers in senior training after the Brighton victory.
Ruben Amorim drafts in youngsters from the academy to supplement sessions when extra numbers are required, and Ngwashi was given the opportunity to feature after making strong progress.
The Manchester Evening News reported in the summer that Ngwashi was attracting interest from European sides and were the first to reveal he was set to commit his future to United.
Ngwashi subsequently signed scholarship terms at Old Trafford and is now trying to push toward the first-team.
The talented young central defender made his league debut for the Under-18s at the beginning of March and was handed his debut for the Under-21s a few weeks later.
Ngwashi missed the start of the 2025/2026 season due to a minor injury but is now fully fit.
The youngster's passing ability is exceptional and he's a ball-playing defender who is a huge asset to build-up play. His stature is impressive and he is considered a potential future star.
Ngwashi has already represented Italy and England at youth level, although he will not have to pledge his allegiance to a nation until later in his career. He represented England's Under-17s in February.
