5 Teams with the WORST Disciplinary Records in the 2025/26 Premier League

With eight Premier League gameweeks now behind us, the table is beginning to take shape. Arsenal are at the top of the pile, while Wolves are propping up the rest of the competition.

Today, however, we aren’t interested in how many goals teams have scored – instead, we’ll be looking at how many red and yellow cards they’ve picked up over the course of the 2025/26 season so far.

We’ll only be looking at cards that were issued in Premier League games for the purposes of this list. We’ve seen a total of 292 cards dished out in the current campaign – who has picked up the lion’s share of them?

Everton

David Moyes teams have never been known for their discretion when it comes to bone-crunching tackles – and Everton in 2025/26 are no different. Moyes has transformed a club in turmoil into a steady, stable outfit, but this doesn’t mean their discipline is always in check.

Everton have picked up 19 yellow cards this season, averaging two per game, but they haven’t received a red card as of yet. Additionally, no player has received more yellow cards this season than Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has five to his name thus far.

Wolves

Wolves might be the Premier League’s bottom club in terms of results, but there are three teams below them in the disciplinary table.

Vitor Pereira’s men have received considerably fewer yellow cards than Everton with 14, but they do have red card on their seasonal record. This came back in August, when Toti Gomes was sent off in a 1-0 away loss against Bournemouth.

Bournemouth

Speaking of Bournemouth, they’re up next on the list. Like Everton, they also haven’t had any players dismissed by way of a red card, but they have collected an unhealthy total of 20 yellow cards.

Their poor discipline has not affected their season too dramatically – the Cherries currently sit third in the Premier League table, above teams such as Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa.

Brighton

Brighton have picked up more yellow cards than any other teams in the Premier League so far this season with a total of 22 – however, they are saved from the bottom spot by having avoided any red cards up to this point.

In particular, Mats Wieffer and Lewis Dunk have played their part, having been given three yellow cards each this season.

Chelsea

Surprisingly, Chelsea have had the worst disciplinary record in the league so far in 2025/26. While they have only collected a total of 16 yellow cards, their red card total of three exceeds every other team in the division.

Trevoh Chalobah, Robert Sanchez and most recently Malo Gusto have all been given their marching orders at some point over the course of the campaign. Three red cards in just eight games is a very worrying statistic for Blues fans – could it point towards deeper problems within their dressing room? Regardless, this is a problem that Enzo Maresca will have to make sure does not get out of hand.
