For years, Premier League coaches seemed to spurn set-pieces. They simply weren’t the focus – instead, teams looked to create chances in open play – but over the last few seasons, set-pieces have become more and more important to the top teams.
Today, we’ll rank the five Premier League teams who have scored more goals from set-pieces than any other in the 2025/26 season. All set-piece types will be considered for this list, including corners, free kicks and long throw-ins. We’ll also be taking penalties into account – they are, after all, a set-piece.
5. Bournemouth
Andoni Iraola’s Bournemouth may be viewed by most as an outfit with a propsenity for playing neat, tidy build up play – but they are no strangers to a good, old fashioned set-piece.
They don’t have the biggest squad in the division, but they do have some excellent set-piece takers. Marcus Tavernier and Alex Scott, in particular, can both deliver very dangerous balls into the box. In their last game, Tavernier notably scored direct from a corner.
When combined with the canny movement of their attacking players and rigorous drills on the training pitch, the Cherries are not be taken lightly in set-piece scenarios. So far, they have 5 set-piece goals to their name this season.
4. Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace are riding a wave of elation right now. 2025 has arguably been the best year in their entire history – they’ve won two trophies, are playing European football and have defeated some of the biggest teams in the country along the way.
Oliver Glasner has been a relevation at Selhurst Park. While they are not the sole focus of his management style, the Austrian certainly doesn’t neglect the importance of set-pieces.
Palace have scored from 6 set-pieces this season, including from a long throw-in against Liverpool – not many teams have managed that.
