John Terry has shared his thoughts on Estevao after he scored a sensational last-minute winner against Liverpool.
Young star’s dream moment at the Bridge
When Chelsea signed Estevao for a hefty £56m, the buzz was immediate. But, few expected the 18-year-old to make such an explosive impact this soon. Coming on as a substitute against Liverpool, all he needed was a single chance.
Eventually, deep into stoppage time, the score was 1-1, Marc Cucurella got to the byline, and whipped a cross in that screamed to be finished. Estevao slid in and scored the winner. He really stepped up under pressure.
It was only his ninth game for the West London club. The Brazilian had nerves of steel and a level of calmness you rarely see in players of his very young age. For someone who was supposed to take time to settle in this season, Estevao already looks like he belongs. Under head coach Enzo Maresca, his confidence and sharpness have grown game by game. Now, he’s delivering in the biggest of moments.
Chelsea is a club that has seen alot of young players in and out it's doors it is almost tradition.

Estevao gets the nod from John Terry
Watching from the stands, John Terry looked every bit the proud mentor. The former skipper later posted on Instagram, “Love him already,” alongside a picture of Estevao celebrating the winner. That is high praise coming from a player who led Chelsea to victory for more than a decade. Terry’s approval will certainly increase the young player’s name with fans and players.
The Chelsea fanbase had been advised to allow Estevao time to settle into English football, that may have already expired. He is already showing that he is capable of dealing with expectations that come with being a blue.
Author’s Opinion:
Estevao has the aura of a future star. He’s got flair, maturity, and now, the John Terry seal of belief. If he keeps this up, Chelsea might have found their next generational talent.
