Excitement over the future of Chelsea wonderkid Geovany Quenda continues to build, and now the teenager has completed yet another feat for the first time in his professional career.
The youngster scored his first league goal of the season at the weekend, heading in the final goal of a 3-1 victory.
Quenda impressed Portuguese media with his performance off the bench, and this time had the chance to play more of a starring role when there was mass rotation for the cup game against Alverca.
Named in the starting side, it was the Quenda show again for Sporting CP, bringing the goalscoring touch in a 5-1 victory.

This time, the Portuguese starlet scored twice, and while media outlet A Bola praised his display, they also pointed out it was the first time he had scored a brace since becoming a professional at the club.
They said: “Effective. He scored again, this time in a brace – for the first time since he’s been at Alvalade – and made his mark with his quick reflexes whenever he moved in from the right during attacking moves. Excellent understanding with Blopa , with touches of class, in the way he managed to create and find spaces with well-measured passes.
“First goal without trembling in front of Matheus Oliveira and the second with a beautiful shot from the edge of the area with his left foot.”
Quenda has already established himself as one of the top young players in world football, and is one of the four Chelsea-associated candidates who are nominated for the Golden Boy award.

Quenda already has a fan in legendary forward
Until he makes the move to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, Quenda has the opportunity to star in both the league and Champions League for Sporting.
Thierry Henry recently praised Quenda after watching him play in Europe, a competition he got off the mark in this season against Dastan Satpaev’s Kairat Almaty.
Enzo Maresca is set to have a nice headache on his hands when he looks to share enough minutes between Quenda and Estevao Willian, with both set for big fans in West London.
It has already been said that Chelsea see Quenda as a winger, rubbishing any claims that he could feature as a full-back upon his move.
