Leeds United are aiming to bolster the attacking department this winter.
Sources have informed Leeds United News that Haji Wright is being monitored ahead of the January transfer window, having started the season with nine goals in 13 games to put Coventry top of the Championship.
It would see Brenden Aaronson reunited with a fellow United States international in Yorkshire, although the Leeds No.11 has previously struggled to succeed playing alongside the man from Los Angeles.
Brenden Aaronson and Haji Wright have never combined for a goal in 14 appearances together
In 14 appearances together for the United States, Aaronson has never managed to score a goal playing with Wright in the attack, nor has the man born in Medford registered an assist.
It suggests they would fail to click under Daniel Farke if Leeds did manage to sign the Coventry No.11 this winter.
That might concern Aaronson given his promising display against West Ham, which offered fans hope that the American is on track to turn his career around at Elland Road and finally live up to his £25m price tag.
Signing Wright could well be enough to curtail this progress, given their lack of effectiveness playing together for the United States.

From what we can see, there are also no praiseworthy comments from either attacker towards the other, suggesting they do not possess a close bond off the pitch either.
Weston McKennie and Wright are good friends, although the evidence suggests the same cannot be said about Aaronson and the Coventry talisman.
Brenden Aaronson might prefer Leeds to sign Josh Sargent instead
Leeds United News understand Josh Sargent is also on the radar at Elland Road, and Aaronson has enjoyed a better time with the Norwich No.9 on the pitch over the years.

The 25-year-old has previously played with Sargent for both the United States U16 side and the senior side, combining for one goal which came in a 4-1 friendly win over Jamaica back in the 2020/21 season.
That is hardly much better than his partnership with Wright, but it does suggest he would choose the Norwich star if the decision came down to Aaronson.
