Ash returns after Fin is recalled by the Irons

Boreham Wood Football Club can confirm that goalkeeper Fin Herrick has been recalled from his loan spell by his parent club, West Ham United to join up with their first team squad.

The 19-year-old shot-stopper and England youth international joined the Wood at the beginning of September and has made a huge impression during his loan spell at the Mangata Developments Stadium.

Herrick recorded an impressive six clean sheets in 11 appearances for Luke Garrard’s side, including on his debut — a commanding 3-0 victory over Morecambe. His performances also earned him a call-up to the England Under-20 squad during his spell with the Club.

Following Fin’s departure, the Club have recalled club legend Nathan Ashmore from his loan with Enterprise National League North side Bedford Town. Nathan will return to Meadow Park immediately, having kept three clean sheets in his four appearances for the Eagles as they climbed away from the relegation zone with 10 points out of a possible 12.

Everyone at Boreham Wood Football Club would like to welcome back big Nathan and express our gratitude to Fin for all of his efforts during his short stay with us and wish the young goalkeeper every success upon his return to West Ham United.
