The Green Bay Packers came into the season with a lot of hype and excitement, primarily due to their trading for Micah Parsons.
Parsons is among the best defenders in the league, and his presence on defense has already proved that the front office made the right decision.
The defense has been as strong, if not stronger, than advertised, and their offense is starting to fire on all cylinders.
Jordan Love is on the heels of a 360-yard performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers and is starting to gain notoriety around the league as a future superstar, if he isn’t already there.
Former player Leger Douzable talked about Love in a recent segment of the “NFL on CBS,” giving the Packers QB props for his performances thus far.
“Right now Jordan Love is Top 3 in my MVP category because that’s how well he’s playing. He’s elevated this team. People always say, ‘Who’s their No. 1 receiver?’ It doesn’t matter if the quarterback is distributing the ball like he’s doing. Everybody that sums up the group make them a good team,” Douzable said.

Douzable noted that Love is top-three in the MVP race in his eyes, which is only a slight departure from what major sportsbooks are offering.
Most have Patrick Mahomes as the odds-on favorite, followed by Josh Allen, Drake Maye, and then Love and Matthew Stafford are tied for fourth.
Douzable didn’t necessarily bring forth a ‘hot’ take about Love’s standing for MVP; rather, he just gave him props for what he’s accomplished to this point in the season.
It will be interesting to see how Love and this team evolve throughout the rest of the season, and whether they can keep their foot on the gas on offense and make a stronger case for an MVP run.
