Leeds take on Brighton at the Amex Stadium this Saturday for a first meeting between the pair in over two years.
The last fixture involving these two fell back in March 2023, when a vastly different Leeds XI played out a 2-2 draw with the Seagulls under Javi Gracia.
Only three players from that starting XI remain at Elland Road, with one potentially set to be sold.
Jack Harrison, Brenden Aaronson and Illan Meslier the sole survivors from last Leeds XI to face Brighton
Illan Meslier was named in between the sticks that day, with Jack Harrison on the left wing and Brendan Aaronson in central attacking midfield.
They remain the three survivors from that 2-2 draw, with the likes of Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Junior Firpo now playing elsewhere.

Meslier – who Anderlecht are monitoring – remains at Elland Road, but has since been dropped by Daniel Farke due to a string of mistakes in the Championship last season.
The Frenchman has also lost his place on the bench to Karl Darlow since Lucas Perri was signed, so a January sale could well materialise.
Ahead of Meslier on that day in March 2023 was a backline which has since left Leeds in its entirety.

Junior Firpo departed Elland Road at the end of last season when his contract expired to seal a return to Real Betis, while Luke Ayling left for Middlesbrough in January 2024 – the same month Robin Koch signed for Eintracht Frankfurt permanently.

Max Wober is still contracted to Leeds, but finds himself out on loan at Werder Bremen this term, having spent last season with Borussia Monchengladbach.
In midfield, Marc Roca is now back at Real Betis having returned to Spain in June 2024, although Tyler Adams is much closer to Leeds, having only moved as far as Bournemouth in August 2023 after the Whites were relegated.
Up top in this XI, Bamford is currently training with Coventry having left Leeds by mutual consent in August, one year ahead of his contract ending.
Last but not least, Crysencio Summerville’s whereabouts need little explanation. The Dutchman was at Elland Road a matter of days ago as his West Ham side suffered a 2-1 defeat against Leeds.
Who was on the bench when Leeds last played Brighton?
A familiar face on the bench back in March 2023 will actually be in the Brighton camp this time around in Georginio Rutter – who sealed a £40m switch to the south coast in August 2024.
The Frenchman was joined on the Leeds bench that day by the following names, two of which remain at Elland Road in Wilfried Gnonto and Pascal Struijk.

Pascal Struijk
Rodrigo Moreno
Rasmus Kristensen
Luis Sinisterra
Weston McKennie
Sam Greenwood
Greenwood was still with Leeds a matter of weeks ago before a £3.5m move to Pogon Szczecin in August, where he is yet to score in seven appearances so far.
As you can see, a lot has changed at Leeds in the last two years, although Brighton have since lost Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister as well, so Farke should still be optimistic of a result this Saturday.
