West Ham United are in a spot of bother as they have lost seven out of nine Premier League games this season.
The Hammers who were once winning European trophies with David Moyes have been reduced to relegation candidates as they currently sit in 19th position in the points table with four points after nine league games with only a win and a draw.
They were off to a horrendous start to this season, and they went on to sack Graham Potter and replaced him with Nuno Espirito Santo, former Nottingham Forest manager.
However, results have not come even with the Portuguese at the helm as they lost their last three league games against Arsenal, Brentford and Leeds United.
Given this situation, West Ham star player Lucas Paqueta is looking to move out of the club in the January transfer window.
He was keen to leave when he was cleared off his spot fixing charges but West Ham blocked his move the approach from Aston Villa and a loan bid from Flamengo.

Currently, Paqueta is adamant that he wants to leave West Ham as he is keen to keep his place in the Brazil national team, something he feels will not happen if he keeps on featuring for the Hammers where it seems like they are proper relegation contenders.
According to reports via The Sun, West Ham's stance on selling one of their prized possessions is unclear but they have set an asking price of £60m for the Brazilian playmaker.
Interestingly, even Manchester City were after Paqueta's signature and were ready to offer £85m in 2023 but the deal was off as FA were running investigation into his spot-fixing charges.
Why are West Ham open to selling Paqueta?
West Ham are in a trickly position as they went from fighting for European trophies to fighting relegation in no time.
Currently, the Hammers need funds as they aim to bolster the team to fight off relegation and maintain their position in the English top flight.

According to reports on The Times, Nuno wants to sign a new striker and a defender in the January window and is also open to selling James Ward-Prowse, who has grown out of favour since Potter's dismissal.
Overall with Paqueta's sale, West Ham will surely generate enough funds to get their desired player to stay afloat in the Premier League.
However, City are not interested in the 28-year-old Brazilian this time but given his quality, Paqueta should have enough suitors interested in him in the January transfer window.
He moved to West Ham in 2022 from Lyon and with his performances over the last few years, he has developed into a fan favourite at the London Stadium.
Paqueta has featured in 130 appearances for the Hammers, netting 21 goals and registering 14 assists. He has scored thrice this season in 10 games and would be a valuable addition for any team that decides to secure his signature.
