Ollie Scarles could be out of action until Christmas following the serious injury sustained during Friday night's 2-1 defeat at Leeds.
The young left back, who was playing out of position on the opposite side at Elland Road sustained a fractured collar bone in the first half of West Ham's latest defeat which left him in agony.
And following a scan and immediate surgery, it has been revealed that Scarles is set to be sidelined as a result until the final month of 2025.
"The surgery has gone well", West Ham United Performance Director Richard Collinge told the club's website. "Ollie will now concentrate on his recovery and rehabilitation here at Rush Green, with the aim of returning to action in December.”
Academy graduate Scarles, 19, was making his second senior appearance of the campaign against Leeds, both of which have come under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
