Boro will see best of exciting talent once fatigue factor is addressed

Sverre Nypan looks a great prospect, but clearly the teenager is not yet fully at the races in the Championship.

The Norwegian starlet impressed us all when he first arrived on Teesside, but is not finding the week-in-week-out grind of this tough league so easy to adapt to.

His debut for the full Norway international side would have been a very emotional moment. But it must be hard for a teenager preparing for two Championship games a week and then jetting here there and everywhere to play for his country.

There has to be a level of fatigue involved, and it looked that way against Wrexham.

On the positive side, we already know that Nypan has plenty of natural ability. Maybe from this stage onwards, now that Boro have completed their opening 12 games, this natural talent will fully begin to shine through.

As a playmaker, and an occasional scorer of goals, he can make a massive contribution towards Boro’s promotion push.

It’s not just Nypan of course. We have seen how David Strelec and Kaly Sene are still working hard to try to make an impact at this level.

And then there’s Abdoulaye Kante, who hasn’t featured as much so far as he would have liked.

The Ivorian did get early opportunities and showed a great attitude on and off the ball.

But Kante is another who needs time to develop and come to terms with the rigours of the Championship.

He’s only 20. As long as he maintains a positive approach to his game and continues to progress then the opportunities should eventually come along.

The arrival of Alan Browne has certainly limited Kante’s chances of being involved with the first team, but at the same time it gives him the chance to develop gradually on the training pitch.
